ABOUT

Lake-end Cottage is 35 minutes from Ottawa, Canada's Capital. The cottage is snuggled at the foot of the Laurentian mountains on gorgeous Lac Bonin minutes away from the quaint town of Wakefield, Mont Cascades Water Park, Gatineau Park and Arbraska Lafleche ziplining and cave spelunking. With a magnificent lake view, this waterfront property is great for boating, fishing, paddle boarding, swimming, hiking, or kicking back with a good book or movie and glass of wine.

Would you like to skip the grocery store? Here are three ways we can help:

Dinner on Arrival

Would you like a homemade dinner to be ready and waiting for you in the fridge? We can provide you with everything you need to pop dinner in the oven or on the grill the night you arrive.

Choose from:

1. A hand-rolled Pizza  

2. Feta Spinach or Jalapeño Cheddar Burgers with Coleslaw & Kettle Chips 3. Chicken/Veg Fajitas & fresh Salsa

Farmers Market Veggie Basket

There is nothing like fresh local fruits and vegetables!

Arrive at the cottage to a basket of fresh, local veggies selected for you from the Wakefield Farmer's Market.

Depending on the season, the common fair could include:

Carrots, lettuce greens, peppers, beets, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes...

Prepare as you please and enjoy!

 First Morning Breakfast​

You don't need to stop at the grocery store on the way to the cottage. You can do that later. We can provide you with everything you need to prepare your own homestyle breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake on the first day of your stay. Choose from:

1. kitchen-crafted Granola, cashew/cow's milk and fresh fruit 

2. Farmer's market fresh bread, local jam and nut butter

3. farm fresh eggs, sausage & toast.

Linen Service

Staying for more than a week? 

Would you like clean linens delivered to you on Sunday? We will provide you with fresh linens and take away any old linens that need to be laundered on Sunday. 

Private Swim Lessons

for Kids or Adults

Do your kid's swim skills need a brush-up? Or maybe you'd like some expert help learning to swim? Lake-End is a perfect spot to learn: clear, clean water and a walk-out sandy bottom that is only four feet deep. It also just happens to be owned by swim instruction expert, Stephanie Rainey. Open-Water Swim Coaching

Lake Bonin is an open-water swimmer's paradise with several short and long-distance swims possible right from the cottage beach. If you're a proficient swimmer and would like some coaching on the best line to swim OR if you're new to open water and would like an introduction, Stephanie Rainey the owner of TheSwimologist.com can do that!

Mont Cascade Water Park

 

This mountain waterpark is designed to entertain visitors of all ages, with four adult water slides, six children's slides, six slides for everyone, and a large activity area with waterfalls, swimming pools a picnic area and restaurant.
